Since it’s modest beginnings, the company has grown to become one of the top underground contracting companies in lower Michigan. As a major municipal underground contractor, Rothenberger specializes in the installations of water mains, sanitary sewers, pump stations and other contracting services for residential, commercial, and industrial real estate.
Dan Rothenberger
Dan is the founder and president of Rothenberger. With over 57 years of experience, he has cultivated a deep understanding of the complexities of construction projects. Throughout his career, Dan has established a reputation for not only addressing his clients’ challenges with remarkable efficiency but also for delivering innovative, cost-effective solutions tailored to their unique needs. His dedication to quality and client satisfaction has established Rothenberger Company as a reliable partner in the construction industry.
James Rothenberger
James has been a key member of the company since 1992. His contributions have played a vital role in the company’s ongoing growth and success. With more than thirty years of experience, James holds the position of Vice President. His leadership has been instrumental in expanding the company’s footprint throughout the Midwest.
Kerry Redman
Kerry oversees the daily operations at Rothenberger, playing a crucial role in the company’s success since 1999. In addition to her financial responsibilities, she meticulously coordinates project schedules, ensuring that all timelines are adhered to. She effectively minimizes the risk of cost overruns and keeps projects on track, delivering quality results on time and within budget.
Karen Rothenberger
11/24/1952 – 2/1/2021 Karen Marie Rothenberger (Fitzpatrick), age 68, of Concord, passed away peacefully, Monday, February 1st, 2021 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born November 24th, 1952, in Jackson, Michigan to John and Donna Fitzpatrick. Karen married Daniel B. Rothenberger on July 17th, 1971, and he survives. Karen graduated from Parkside High School in May 1971. In February 1974, she and Dan started Rothenberger Construction Inc. just months before the birth of their first son, James. Two short years later in 1976 she gave birth to their second son, Jeremy. She maintained her position as company secretary/treasurer while raising their two sons and running their household. Her role in the growth and success of Rothenberger Construction cannot be overstated. Karen enjoyed watching sports, particularly anything her children and grandchildren played. She was a loyal fan to her Detroit Lions, through decadesof 4th quarter letdowns. She loved the game of golf, and particularly loved her Monday morning golf League at Concord Hills. She was often found outdoors in the sun by the pool or mowing her lawn, which she kept impeccable. Karen will be remembered for her profound sense of generosity, her tireless service to others, her infectious laugh, her selfless friendship, and her 53 year commitment to the love of her life, Dan.
